Pretty cool article here on a deer that had some genetic "throwback" traits. I find it highly interesting that these recessive traits can persist in a population for so long and only pop up occasionally.

Would you have taken this deer? IDK if I could have brought myself to do it. In the next county over there is a blacktail deer population that throws one or two white babies per generation. It's kind of an unspoken thing that we let those white ones live.
