They appear to have been produced in Germany for American Military Contract. There is a long row of numbers that are proceeded by US#
They are brand new, never worn, manufactured 11/65 (which I take to be November 1965)
What would Size 24 in German Translate to in English size....??
In the front/side pockets is (2) Two lengths of cloth (like Ribbon) rope. What do they secure....??
I am guessing that each of the four collum's is a different "style". What does the word at top of the third collum mean in english.....???
Interesting find. Does it actually indicate the fabric? The wool then was courser (generally speaking). If a heavy cotton, should be quite durable by comparison to today’s fabrics.
NO..........But it is very thick, tightly woven wool.
