This thread is non-political. It just looks for prepping and planning of Sleeper Cell. Assume the sleeper cells are non-political. Just hired personnel to do a job. What decisions would you have made......recently...???

Would it be prudent to operate in a massive population city. Not looking for what targets would be. Just management of a cell that you are responsible for. How has planning changed in last 10 or 15 years..??

How has execution of planned projects changed in the last 10 or 15 years.

I'll make this a fundamental as I can. You are team leader of a foreign sleeper cell. you have just been advised your cell will go hot in 48 hours or less. What needs to be done by you or your team to be 100% ready. You need not think about targets, you will be informed of targets by your home country.

Yes, I am aware that most of my threads require thinking. Yes, I know some hate thinking.

To complete this exercise I would need a mission objective, a list of available resources, a list of compromised assets and other details. If I am an embedded or nonembedded sleeper agent I would have been placed in a specific place, to acquire a specific job or standing, and to develop specific relationships or assets. All of that must be known to determine how I would act in the 24-48 hours leading up to the mission op.

I have never thought about how I would run a sleeper cell. I do think that those cells are probably disorganized and not really run at all. I don't think we are at risk from attack by sleeper cells in general.

Groups of them, like Antifa, might do some looting or burning in large blue cities, but that in itself is a disorganized mess.

I may be totally wrong but I don't think sleeper cells are organized, and if they were a while back, by now it's people have probably become disinterested for lack of .... work to do.

Here is a hypothetical example of something a team leader might want to do.

Review what prescription medications each member is taking. Use that information along with recent blood test results to decide what each person is best suited to perform. Or those that need unique assignment.

Inform everyone NO Alcohol consumption while on "stand-by" status.

“China has made it clear that they can—and will—target and attack America’s critical infrastructure,” Abbott said in the statement. “Texas will continue to protect our critical infrastructure to ensure the safety of Texans from potential threats by the Chinese Communist Party or any hostile foreign government.”

The order highlighted Volt Typhoon, one of China’s state-sponsored threat groups, and how it had targeted communications, energy, transportation, water, and wastewater systems in the United States and its territories.

Volt Typhoon, which was dismantled by a multi-agency operation in January, had maintained “access and footholds within some victim IT environments for at least five years,” the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency said in February.

The order also cited FBI Director Christopher Wray’s warnings at the Vanderbilt Summit in Nashville in April, when he said that China “has made it clear that it considers every sector that makes our society run as fair game in its bid to dominate on the world stage.”

I do. I don't think we have anything going on that is imminent now, but I believe that there are groups that are organizing and organized now. An example of a sleeper cell could be working out of local mosques. They have 5 prayer meetings a day. That is a lot of time to get into people's heads and to get them organized. This happens to be the people that I think we need to be most aware of. Maybe that is my bias.

I agree. I know there are sleeper cells here. An old friend in Portland had a nephew in one. He was investigated. It was a muslim thing. Ended up being arrested and I don't know what happened to him.

Your premises is flawed. Sleeper cells are religion based, and also politically based, and enemy's of the US.

It's scary to think they could be activated to any effectiveness, but it possible. Still, and assuming that's true, I do nothing different in my daily life. Being vigilant of the fact is all I can do.

I get what you're saying, but maybe you should be looking, or wondering, about the actions of those being commanded.

By nature I'm not an administrator, or a commander.... I'm one of the worker-bees, but I have morals. It's a huge prayer to hope the other workers are of the same ilk, but I pray.
