By accident, here is another source of incubator and chicken supplies.. This to go with and hopefully make more accessible and useful info building on the old post about the Sportsman brand incubators.. Incubators and supplies are expensive, but then I don't know what live chicks cost either.. Good luck.

Depending on quantity, chick prices are about $6.50 each and up for females. You might find some breeds cheaper at feed stores. We're looking at getting a Brinsea Pro Series incubator. It holds 42 chicken eggs.

I have 2 small Brinseas, the Octogon ones. Maybe holds 20 eggs, have to manually turn three times a day. They've worked well for years. Trying out a new self turner 30 egg incubator I bought at the end of the season at Atwoods for $89 I think last year. We'll see how it does, they're due in a couple of weeks. Waiting for the turkeys to start laying. Have 5 hens and 5 males. Marlon says his are laying already, but his are a year younger....actually our offspring last year. Geese are laying like crazy, but not sitting, and I'm not going to incubate those. I will find guinea eggs all over the farm coming up soon. They nest in the weirdest places, and they are all free range. Last year they were nesting in the big tomato bushes.

I'm looking for a specific breed of rooster to put in with my hens for awhile this year so I can hatch eggs. I'm not supposed to have roosters, but my neighbors sure do so 🤷‍♀️
I just bought a cheap whatever brand incubator with rollers to turn the eggs and a clear top so the kids can watch them hatch. I REALLY like the roller turner, you don't need different size rails for different sized eggs with this turner system. Incubator technology sure has come a long way since I started hatching eggs.
