Am I the only one who as they get older they dislike anywhere there's a large amount of people (eg; Walmart, grocery stores festivals etc.) sometimes I can go places and do the whole society/ socializing thing and other times it just pi**es me off because of the sheer amount of stupidity that exists in society today!

Please tell me it's not just me?!!

Naa, it happens to most people as they get older, it's called "experience".
It becomes much easier to recognize stupidity when it is right in front of you 🥸...
Example:
Always keep a chain connected to your nose-ring, to keep your face from falling off! 🤪

^^^ Don't Think that will help in her case...!!! Connected from the nose to her ear...?!?

Such a shame that a twinkling ornament takes away from her Natural beauty...!!

ShadowWolf 12 I could have posted the same exact thing because I'm the same way. Now admittedly I've never liked to be in crowds but it's gotten worse as I got older. One of my favorite sayings is that I wouldn't stand in line if they were giving out 100 dollar bills & I think that number has gone up as I get older. Now as far as the amount of stupidity, I don't know. Were people always as stupid as they are now & we just didn't notice? Or is it that they have actually hit new highs as to how stupid they are? I'm thinking that progress in human intelligence has peeked & is now on the decline. Either way, I really don't want to mix with them just in case it's some sort of a dumbing down virus & can be caught.

As to the picture of the woman with the chain, I've never understood that stuff (either jewelry or tattoos). I'm a guy so maybe I can't relate but not once in my long life have I ever thought to myself, maybe I should go somewhere pay someone to poke a hole in my body. Of course I realize that's each person's right & if that's what they want to do I have only one small suggestion. If your going to get a tattoo for goodness sake save up some money & get an at least nice looking or maybe even beautiful tattoo. Most of the tattoos that I see look like they were done with the ink from a Bic pen in a prison.

And don't get me started on people choosing to wear yoga pants. Some of those should be covered by the criminal codes in every single state.

You are definitely not alone. I feel much the same way. I don't know if it is old age, or a been-there-done-that attitude. IMHO with the old age comes a lack of patience, especially with other peoples' stupidity. We used to attend a lot of crowded events, concerts, sporting events, movies, theatre. Now we don't go anywhere, and have no desire to go. I don't want to fight the crowds or the traffic, or the parking. I don't want to spend the money on things of very marginal interest.

My ears aren't even pierced, and NO INK!! That pretty chain would make a handle, just on good yank .......😉

Its not only not just you, it is also smart.

Remember Ol' Remus' most excellent and proven Rule One of Survival: Stay away from crowds.

I will wait until I get older and let you know.

I have spent me whole life navigating around crowds and idiots. Heck, I live in the epicenter of stupidity. Maybe I am just used to it but it doesn't really bother me at all. I just live my life and try and enjoy myself no matter where I am or what I'm doing. Plus I find it very reassuring to be reminded how much better looking, well groomed, in shape and intelligent I am. That would be much more difficult if I didn't have a city of weirdos around me.

It's not you.

I work from home and I just told my neighbor this evening that if I could have everything delivered.. I could live right here on this 5 acres and never leave.... except church. Gotta go see my church family.

Really, don't get me started on yoga pants. A pet peeve of mine.

Neither are good.
Yoga pants are underwear in my opinion. Like a long john, or under a skirt. I wear them in the cold months under my skirt. But not as just pants. I'm not on Star Trek.
No picture, then it didn’t happen.🤣

Alright I've had a few so I can't resist posting this about yoga pants. I saw a comedian talking about it. She was somewhere & they came out with an Amber Alert about a woman stealing a baby from a hospital. She was described as being about 400 lbs & wearing bright yellow yoga pants. The comedian said that she was brilliant. If you weight 400lbs & are wearing bright yellow yoga pants.........Who's going to notice a baby?

Suggestion for a new law: Before buying yoga pants you should have to try them on in front of a board of 5 women & 5 men. And to buy them at least 7 members of the board should have to vote FOR you.

I don't do well with large crowds or heavy traffic either one.
I can exist just fine by myself, but do enjoy the presence of intelligent people. And by intelligent I don't mean hyperedjumicated in book learning. I mean people that have learned something from life, whether they are dropouts or PhDs.
Dumbazzes I have no use for.
