You are definitely not alone. I feel much the same way. I don't know if it is old age, or a been-there-done-that attitude. IMHO with the old age comes a lack of patience, especially with other peoples' stupidity. We used to attend a lot of crowded events, concerts, sporting events, movies, theatre. Now we don't go anywhere, and have no desire to go. I don't want to fight the crowds or the traffic, or the parking. I don't want to spend the money on things of very marginal interest.
Grocery stores, Walmart and other big stores are packed full of folks older than me who are inconsiderate and oblivious. Getting older has diminished my patience and tolerance for that nonsense. But as some people get older, they lose any consideration for others around them that they may have had when they were younger.

Here is something I do for fun. When a stranger just won't take a hint that I don't want to talk instead of saying @#$& off! I say "that was definitely not a fart" and walk away. They never try to keep the conversation going.

bkt it's not just older people. If I had $50 for every person that has put the cart on one side of a grocery isle & then stood in the middle of the other side of the isle I could buy me a bmw.

No you aren't alone. Before covid killed 24 hour markets I used to shop around 4:30 am. After the tweakers went to bed and nobody else was up. Now I go at 6:15, just after the early bird rush ends.

It's not just old people who are inconsiderate, the whole of society is. Younger people are far worse. Look at the road rage, or gawd forbid... try asking someone to put their rotweiller on a leash. There are people who will kill you over a simple request. We had a gunfight between 5 people in the Lowes parking lot, and a guy (road rage ahole, ran into a better gunfighter) was killed right at the entrance to Walmart. I walk on his grave a couple times a month. Most customers have no clue.

Neither wife nor I care for crowds anymore. Too much stupid now. Just last weekend in our formerly small town desert resort, a cheap little carnival came to town. There was a fight involving 60 low life teens. I don't want to get into a no-win situation like that. We used to go to the various community festivals, but have pretty much stopped other than the farmers market. We are lucky our town has an open air ampitheater for concerts. Our last concert was a couple months ago, when Jason Aldeen came here (Try that in a small town). That was a well mannered crowd. Lot of cowboy hats and rodeo buckles, and didn't see a single raiders hoodie, tattooed face, or saggy pants.

I am cond Orange every time I leave our HOA. I stay off our main highway through town as much as possible and actively avoid people as much as reasonable anymore.

Give me a mountain stream, wind in the pines, or a desert trail anytime. I'm happiest in the high country. Shouldda been a cowboy.
