He also said a couple of things that were not biblical, so I'm thinking it's time for a new church.
First, you must remember that Jesus said, "where two or three of my believers are praying together, I AM THERE". You can worship the Lord ANYWHERE and ANYTIME even without a preacher...
Second, you must remember that Paul reminded us, "when you have a dispute with a brother in Christ, take two or three other brothers and reprimand them, if they repent, rejoice. If they do not repent, then leave them to their own destruction.
The following is from the book of First Timothy: Chapter 6, verse 5
Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness:
FROM SUCH WITHDRAW THYSELF.
And further in Chapter 5, verse 20:
THEM THAT SIN REBUKE FOR ALL, THAT OTHERS MAY FEAR.
and again in Chapter 6, verse 20:
O Timothy, keep that which is commited to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.
My brotherly advice to you is to take others from your church and stand together before your pastor and present your claims that his preachings are not following the teachings of Christ and demand he DO HIS GODLY JOB. This is your Christian job to reprimand him.
Or else he should find another job in another place with those who want to listen to his lies and corruption.
If he leaves your church...DO NOT WISH HIM GODSPEED!!!
You would become part of his un-godly works and be partakers of his sins. Beware of false teachings, Gary
