Looking backnow I wish we had of kept the leanto instead of using greenhouse. Or added on a solarium to control temps and have in closer.
Still would keep raised beds and outside garden.

This is just an idea and the first one that came up.

The Princess has been dangling a carrot to ensure I finish my remodeling projects which allows me to convert this porch to an attached green house.

It has a southern exposure that will be good for the winter. I will not put a glass roof on it prevent it from getting too hot in the summer. I have a 300 gallon fish tank waiting for that project.

Thank you!! This is super interesting. I've was just last week doing a ton of reading on 4 season greenhouses (when I was resigned to a northern clime)...

@Meerkat , what makes you regret giving up the lean-to for the greenhouse?

Trying to keep the climate right inside ,in winter it would get too cold at times,in summer it would cook the plants if you forgot to open it uo all the way, which means opening up the walls, making sure the fan was on.Most of the time we kept it ok. But that can be a real hassle at times,in real cold or hot.
if we had of kept the leanto we started off with we could haave used the house heat and aAC.Plus its right there so no going outside in storms or weather.Did you see our Greenhouse thread?
I just pulled up one of our old threads here when we were working with it.

Looks like a good placefor one. Especially facing south. Some plants don't do good with less than 6 hours of sun.Morning sun of course is important.
