Yeah, it's been surreal. And I thought life would be boring when I left contract work behind, guess not.

When I was face to face with the lady she wanted to know what compelled me to meet with him. I could sense some trepidation so I of course told her we were friends now and were going to hang out from time to time. Then I just said I wanted to get a glimpse of the man that would walk away from her and the girl for some street trash. Now I know he was really only trying to have his cake and eat it too, he just chose a dominant sociopath intent on taking over his life. Had she not confronted the lady, disappeared to start over someone else, etc. their marriage may have continued on without the lady ever knowing what happened. I don't feel bad for him but I do have a better understanding of what lead him down the paths he chose.

When the lady told her daughter who I had lunch with, all she said after she found out who it was: "Don't care, he's dead to me" and walked away.

I also forgot to mention that I got a text from the Brazilian. She's pregnant. I didn't respond because I know it's not mine and I don't really care. Maybe the lady can fly to Brazil and take her out to lunch.
I bet she really wanted a family all along!! I hope the baby is with someone who will take care of and appreciate her the way she wants!! I hope it was a happy text!! I hope she moved on to the kind of life she wanted!!

Even though their marriage was never real, she is still suing him for assets which are few and far between and is now threatening to accuse him of knowing about the fraud and participating in it if he doesn't help pay for legal counsel and play the loving husband in court.
I think that he could actually sue her. Of course, she has nothing, or may not have any assets, but it would be an attempt to get her to stop doing what she has been trying to do to him.

Who lives like she did? I really wonder what kind of messed up childhood and life she had that made her so sick that she lived a life of conning and taking whatever she could from people. There are some really sick people in this world.

I agree with you, that the fate of the divorce became a good thing. I am talking about the dentist maybe being able to sue wife two. She claimed to be someone she was not. There may be other things that he can sue her for. I am just not a legal person to know about all the possibilities in this. Also, perhaps suing her may protect him more legally.

I think she was so happy so wanted to tell everyone she could. She sent me a pic with it and she was definitely pregnant and definitely upbeat. The lady made me send a reply because she is nice and has emotions. I sent a one word text: Congratulations.

I have a feeling his punishment at the hands of the woman we now call "Psycho" will be ongoing for a long time. He is busy trying to defend himself from her, I don't see him on going on the offensive. Even if he should.

I actually have him in my phone now. I kind of want to keep in touch just enough to hear all about the **** show.

I'd stay FAR away! The daughter has the right idea!!

What's life without risk and adventure. The lady thinks its odd, the daughter doesn't acknowledge his existence, I think we could end up friends. We have so much in common.
When you posted about meeting him, my thought was that he hadn't hurt you like he had them, and he thinks that you are the best possibility for him to have any connection to his former family. I also thought about you being a potential friend for him, maybe even somewhat of a legal advisor. Even with your first meeting, he knows you are someone good for him to know and to be in contact with during this rough time in his life.

That's a pretty solid assessment. Although in reality I don't see us having lunch, taking a bath or doing each others hair in the future.

So things are starting to move with the lawyer in regards to the lady's father. Medical costs and debts are being processed and documents signed. Sometime in early 2025 it will time to distribute his remaining assets according to his will.

The lady has also decided she wants the townhouse, unless I object. Never having to mow, shovel, weed, trim, etc. is enticing. Plus the place is big and has lots of storage, small but adequate yard, nice patio, 2 garage stalls that are deep enough to also have storage, 2 marked parking spaces for residents, a guest parking area, etc. all in a secured property surrounded by wrought iron and concrete. They have onsite security, lights and cameras which is also good. The HOA fees are not for the faint of heart however, but that does not seem to bother the lady at all and the two people she spoke to who also live there said the HOA is well managed and has by-laws in place that prevent a Napoleon or a Karen from going on a power trip. Plus the fees basically provided for the pools, gym, security, lawn care, snow removal and a fund for lot and road repairs. Like I said before, the place is similar to the apartment only triple the size and with private entrances and spaces. It even has a rooftop patio. And of course, don't forget, a private elevator.

WOW!! Sounds like life is about to take another big step forward!!💖

I am just a passenger on this ride. I told her the day we got married that I am extensively flexible and will just go along with most of her choices in life, as long as she understands that if I do object; I ******* mean it. Has only happened once and she accepted it without further discussion. I think that's the way it's supposed to be.

Got some Cowboy Boots Yet...?!?

I wouldn't wear cowboy boots if they got me into a locker room full of tipsy Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders.
I wouldn't wear any in there either...!!! ;)

Story the lady just reminded me of as we talked about going out to eat tonight:

The last time we went out to eat at an upscale restaurant, when the meal was finished, the waiter came over and asked if we were pleased with the food/service and presented the bill to me. I just pointed at the lady and said "that's for her". He gave me a look so I responded with "What? I'm a ******* trophy husband. If she wants desert, she has to feed the chef". He seemed unamused and handed her the bill. Then she gave me a look and said "you have a debit card too". I replied "I know, but that was more fun".

She told me to just pay the bill tonight.

Also did I tell you she closed my checking account, cancelled my one credit card, then just handed me a new debit card and new credit card one day? They have my name on them and apparently I am on the accounts, but they are really hers. I also now have a monthly spending stipend, otherwise I need to let her know if I intend to buy anything so she can "budget for it". My transition to stepford wife is nearly complete. I would post more, but I have to go dishes now.

I have always kept my own bank accounts and have encouraged all of my female friends who are married to have an account that is only theirs, in the event that something happens, whatever that might be. What if all of a sudden the husband is in love with someone else and the marriage ends in just a split second? Or what if something happens and someone hacks the account? I know that I am a very independent person, and I have experienced some stuff in relationships that have made me always want to have my own stuff, without anyone else interfering with it.

To be fair, all of my investment accounts are still in place even though she s really the one who manages them, with improved returns by the way. And she transferred all the money from my checking, which was not a small amount, into those same investments accounts. On the other hand my pay checks are all now direct deposited into "our" checking account. If anything goes wrong I can always become a Chippendales dancer or massage therapist for old rich women at a country club. I am never more than one sensual back rub away from being back on my feet.

As a professional shoppers escort, bag carrier and personal security guard I believe I have cracked one small part of the genetic code that ladies are programmed from. While the cavemen were out throwing stones and tossing spears for meat, cavewomen were out gathering to provide additional nutrients. Now, in honor of their forebearers, they wander from store to store gathering items that are colorful or sparkly to replace that berry picker inner desire. But shopping is too simple, too easy. These hunter-gatherers require a more cunning game. So they hunt for deals and bargains through which they can demonstrate and expound their skills and ingenuity. "This cowl neck was originally $179, on sale for $139. But, I waited and found it in the discount section and using a coupon on my phone was able to get it for only $79!" Meanwhile, I feign interest, excitement and pretend I know what the hell a cowl neck is. I also watched the holding of 1,291 different lipsticks to faces to see if the colors were a match. Of course 793 of those lipsticks all looked to me to be the exact same color, even if the labels claimed they were different.

On a different note, upscale Italian cuisine is very different that spaghetti with ground beef mixed in a marinara sauce. The menu was not easily navigated and making a selection required discussion with the lady and the waitress. The lady and I ended up ordering two dishes and sharing them. The first was freshly made ribbon pasta tossed with slow-cooked beef tenderloin in a Chianti wine & tomato sauce. The second dish was roasted chicken thighs with tomatoes, olives, mushrooms, onion & herbs, served with truffle mashed potatoes. I also ordered a side of two wood fired grilled Italian sausages because I felt they would be a safe thing to eat if I hated everything else. But it was all quite delicious and we had to bring some home, even if could not pronounce the names of these dishes. The girl's food did not look as good, but she liked it. Some kind of ricotta & spinach dumplings tossed in lemon & sage sauce. The restaurant also did not seem to care in the least that she was 19 and drinking wine with her meal.
