Looking for good yourube video download app

ive got firefox and have used some yt video download apps, over time one stops working and another works ok but now all have stopped working, no updates to fix problem like before so i figured yt made some changes.

firefox offers some but none of them work now. i do have a ad bnlocker--ive tried to toggle it off and on to see if it made a differnce but it doesnt seem so. ,.

does anyone have a simple decent one or are those days over?

i like to download a favorite song now and then or yt epsidoes of old shows i like--that i have bought dvds of and like having them here also for simplicity. also some herbal instructionals, archeology, geology, space weather stuff, biblical studies, etc etc.
i cant seem to find anyting that works- from firefox-did a search and saw some non firefox tohers but im kinda scared of downloading stuff i dont know.

anyo e have some trusted program thing they like?
i am not computer savy
anything simple i can use?

Did you read the reason we cant download now by chance...i was shocked reading it...i am so upset because i cant download stuff especially audio books and preaching/sermons etc.

Paramount + will no longer allow me to download movies using DuckDuckGo I have to open a Safari window so they can track me.

i didnt know about this stuff, and thaks for posting and sharing it. i guess the days of downloading some favorite clips or songs are over. like many other things.

Interesting to learn that this is why some stuff isn't working. I haven't tried to upload any YouTube videos lately. I do have a few videos of dogs in dog parks, but haven't tried to upload anything lately.

I do know that some things are not working lately, but I thought it might be because I realized this week that my laptop is 5 years old. I've been thinking it was probably time to get a new one. The ability to print has stopped. It may be something that I could fix if I took the time.

Sadly none of these work...at least for me....and from my searching its youtube blocking everything from being downloaded now over blurb above and article link....its a sad day i tell ya....real sad to me.

thank you sojer, hadnt heard of those. sadly i tried each one, entered the link. each one sort of blinked and did nothinging, got a page that said =we cnat find that pge-- i guess yt dont like me.

i will try the links again later with some other ty and see if it makes a difference

Hmm, wierd.. What Browser ya'll using? (I see Jazz, yer using FFx..) Can ya's try 'Brave'? It's Solid, and those All open Right up for me on it.. I don't think any 'blocking' is from YT, tho.. These sites are designed to go Around YT's bots (and they Do..) so.. Not sure wassup, but if ya's Can - Try 'Brave'...

according to article i posted link...apparently youtube is not doing something that has always allowed videos to be downloaded...its happened when that big AI Project took millions? or how many from youtube for AI use...or thats my understanding...when i try these all i get is video in screen...not downloaded...the old downloader took minutes to do a big video....also its been long ago utube stopped mp3 and other downloads..i will grab a screenshot...to my understanding.

not sure what FF....duh...firefox....dam and double dam ...lol.......we can watch youtube...but we cant download to our computers saving the file/video for watching later on....sorry not sure what you are saying above.

again watching works fine...saving it as a file ON my computer no longer works...i like saving stuff for when everything is not working...power,connects and the world one day.

maybe i need to try brave--a friernd told me that some t ime back saying it was easier to use. for someone like me, i need easy, lol.

to get rid of ads i use the firefo x adblock and it works great--i thought that might be a hinderence but i removed it and nope--the FF yt download still didnt work. if i cant download i can live with that but not the ads stealing my time--i think if they want tme to watch their ads they should pay Me for taking up my time and attention nad hope to influence me..

Nah, Jazzy, yer not - the 'Dimnosaurs' just got Voted Out.. It's tough to 'keep up with Tech' for Everybody.. Not to mention the 'planned obsolescence' Bull.. But..

I'll poke around next week when I have time / see if there may be Others that can still wrangle YT's 'techno-chokehold' (ie: Wondershare software.. Have to Buy that, but it Also does CDs / DVDs (remember Those? back/forth conversions / other 'odd formats' (ie: .ogg / .swf / others, etc..)

They pay you by providing the content.

I am too cheap for premium so I put up with adds ready to skip at the first option.
