We run a small homestead in Roanoke AL, and we're looking to rent a bumper tow livestock trailer to pick up 5 mini jerseys this Friday. If you or someone you know has one available, please let us know. The guy we were going to rent from fell through, and now we are in a bit of a pinch. Thank y'all so much for your help!
@Peanut (I'm tagging you because you live nearer to us and might know someone 😊)

I don't know of a bumper pull trailer except the one I had, sold it yrs ago. Currently all my neighbors have big goose neck trailers.

Friday? I'll call around tomorrow but the odds are slim. Small bumper pulls are rare where I live.

Where's the closest stockyard to your location? A place where cattle are bought and sold? I'd call the stockyard, they might know of someone you could hire to haul your cattle. At least they'd know who has bumper pull trailers in your area. Might give you a few names to call.

Thank you so much! That is a good idea, we have a stockyard in town (https://www.facebook.com/RoanokeStockyards/) I will reach out to them tomorrow and see if I get anything. Thank you for all of your help!😊

Sometimes a stockyard will haul your cattle and add it to the commission fee on cattle sales. In my experience there's always a farmer or two who will haul on a flat fee basis. I don't know the current market rate. Or even if it's done in your area.

If all else fails go to the stockyard on sale day... About 6am check the nearest place where old farmers can sit and drink coffee, a cafe or restaurant. That's where you'll find news of someone who hauls cattle in the area. It's word of mouth, side deals.

We found one!! Thank you so much Peanut for your help! 😊
