Those are cool. I like maps.
There are alternatives to topo maps, and Google Earth Pro works for me...just have to use the "satellite view" is all. Of course if you don't have wi-fi or cellular it's useless, but there are other sources that you can use "offline," and don't need cellular/wi-fi.
Even with mastering online maps, I think it is just as important to have paper maps too, @Meerkat . It might be more important. Anyone can guess why we might need to know where to go without goo goo maps knowing it too.I have not yet mastered the tech stuff so maps are great backups for us.
