Mother's Day

We had Mother's Day today. My daughter and son in law came. I grabbed wipes and wiped them down then hugged like I've never hugged before.

I actually started crying. I usually see my daughter at least once per week and it's been a while. We talk daily and video chat but nothing is like real hugs and kisses.

Oh, I got my emergency radio. It's cool. Solar, crank, battery or adapter charged.

Just made donut holes for the family. Then I remembered it's Mother's Day and people should be cooking for me.

By donuts, I mean I cut canned biscuits into pieces and deep fried then sprinkled with powdered sugar.

My son is gobbling them down like he's never seen food before.

Mom said, "oh, your husband mentioned homemade biscuits and sausage today, but you are already cooking".

Happy Momma's Day Gals! I hope everyone gets to rest as easy as possible and enjoy.

We celebrated Mother's Day last night along with my son #4 Birthday. . .He was born on Momma's Day 28 years ago so this was a special year for us since only the 3rd time it has fallen on the same day. Went down to my mom's house and brought all the sides along with a dessert. Made Deviled Eggs, Seafood Stuffing, Green Beans, Squash Casserole, along with Baked Beans and Potato Salad because that is what my mom wanted and then a Cheese Cake that is my son's favorite, plain cheesecake topped with chocolate & caramel syrup, chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, caramel bites and chopped up pecans. My sis made 3 different kinds of grilled shrimp and 2 different steamed crabs. DIL made cheese biscuits and banana pudding.
