Well..
in the early 70s, we saw American documentaries about "hiding under the table when the Soviets throw a nuclear bomb."
We were very surprised, since the Soviet military doctrine implied that the USSR could only deliver a nuclear retaliatory strike.
America is the first blow, we answer ...

The Soviet people believed that America was an ideological rival, but not an enemy. Nobody believed in a war against America.
We feared a war against China. China had a similar ideology, but was an enemy as they had territorial claims.
Nonetheless..
in Soviet schools of the 70s, they showed documentaries of what you should do after a nuclear strike .. (America was the first to strike.)

Soviet cartoons about Americans were funny, but never offensive.
(American cartoons about the USSR are offensive. Modern Russian cartoons about America are also offensive)

2. American capitalist
A very rich, fat, short man. He wears an expensive suit, dark glasses and smokes a cigar. He exploits the Americans, takes their money and sponsors Uncle Sam for the war against the workers and peasants of other countries.
3. American cowboy
He puts his feet on the table, shoots a pistol very well, smokes a cigar and is constantly drunk ..
4. American unemployed.

Ha Ha. Teaching propaganda through cartoons. One of our sons has a degree in film. They had a class one semester that analyzed cartoons and govt propaganda. Interesting.
