Buddy of mine bought some gun parts online
NON FFL parts. he was happy with the transaction and decided to buy a receiver
After the ''deal'' He was visited by the ATF who confiscated his receiver.
Seems the guy who sold it was working for a company that destroys guns from the police.
the guy was stripping guns for parts and selling them.
he sold my buddy a receiver from a gun that was reported as destroyed
My buddy was out the cost of the receiver and is very perturbed

Unfortunate for your friend, but the police have some culpability in this too. When we were destroying guns there was an officer who brought them in; stayed with them through the entire process, and watched them being thrown in a shredder and destroyed. I would consider it like a chain of evidence. How could this guy be in the business of destroying guns, and not have people watching what he was doing?
