Most of my neighbors, speaking in circular terms as I live on a circle, are already like minded individuals who are capable of surviving alone or as part of a mutual aid group. We often discuss things like SHTF in general terms while shooting at the range or having our annual block party. We are mostly current or former (as in recently separated) military, LEO's, or similar. Although we do have a teacher, a dentist, and a horticulturist as well.
I'm just ignoring everyone. If a neighbour wants a meeting, I'll go so as not to be the only absentee. With this virus I doubt that anyone wants to gather a group in their home and I certainly don't.
Yes.Anyone think of how your neighbors will react if shtf?
Which ones will be an asset and which a liability?
Should you have neighborhood meeing or just ignore everyone?
No meeting. Loose lips sink ships.LOL,Lazyl, # 3, which one meeting or ognore?

As far as my neighbors are concerned, we are all poor. I don't mind that perception. Nothing to see or take here.

There is no talk of guns with our neighbors, just God.
I kind of am thinking we are in a bit of SHTF now. I know the worst has yet to come, but it could be here before the end of this or next year.Anyone think of how your neighbors will react if shtf?

If the current gun club has a two year waiting list, it sounds like it is time for another gun club, not that you would have to belong. Gun clubs would be places where you might find like minded people though.SHTF and a tree falls in the road or somebodies livestock gets loose these people come with chain saws and help find animals. One way out private road so road block affects us all.
We have storms one year 5 hurricanes we got damage from outside most .
We did have some kids breaking into peoples homes and people watching out for each other stopped that. Most people here are mostly rural and know how to make do and survive. I'd say about half go to church. We have a gun club that last I heard had a 2 year waiting list but people still practice on their own property, a lot. Our city slicker dogs almost had nervous break downs when we first moved here they always had tail tucked and walked around like cats.
Wow! That is a distance! Grandparents lived 50 miles from the grocery store and they did not get to town sometimes for months. Most of the people out here are ranchers with a smattering of retired LEO'S and military. 90 miles to the grocery store so everyone stays stocked up pretty well.

Sometimes the fees for such things can get expensive, especially when you are on a limited budget. That was a about 3 years ago so not sure now. Anyway we quit going several years ago.
So true and I don't have a clue about what they charge now. It was $75 each when we were members.Sometimes the fees for such things can get expensive, especially when you are on a limited budget.
