I know this was a mistake and a lot of people are angry about it, but I see a lot of good in it. It may make people think. I am sure most realized how ill prepared they are.

was it a mistake ? or was it way more ? maybe a quick scare so the powers that be have a first hand view or what would happen if it was for real ? or maybe the government has been secretly checking if the warning system is actually functional ? It seems kinda odd that this happened while all the NK crap is going on....
Though give it a month, Americans have very short memory these days, Katrina comes to mind, Katrina wasn't much as a learning tool to the folks impacted by Sandy or even go further back, people haven't learned to prepare from the Three Mile Island accident or Chernobyl. Instead of learning from the impact people tend to get mad and forget unfortunately.
I suppose most people will not think to much about the scare, but that is not everyone,,I am here in Arkansas for several reasons
1-to escape the possibility of being hit by a Hurricane
2-I know if there ever is a all out nuclear war you will not want to be anywhere on the east coast an most of the west coast will be hammered also
3-there is is not much threat of earth quakes
4-by being in the mountains although these are not big mountains the chances of being hit by a tornado are greatly reduced from my previous location
now I am sure I am not alone in my choice of places to call home
Not a conspiracy just a stupid mistake. Hawaii was upping the preparations due to NK threats against Hawaii so the preparations have been going on for almost a year, the States and the Feds have made mistakes like this in the past though generally affecting a localized area not the whole state and generally when something like this happens it's quickly corrected unlike the case that happen in Hawaii.
