First thing I want to say, is that I did sign on this morning fully intending to start posting again, when I seen the news of Backpacker. So very sorry and my heart goes out to his family & friends, and everyone here for their loss. 😭

Anyway, over the last few years I was hacked on FB and deleted my account and ended up stepping away from all social media platforms for awhile. Kept meaning to come back here, but SQUIRREL......always something to distract me.

I guess I'll leave it at that, rather than keep rambling on over life happenings. Except I've missed you all

Well this is the introduction thread, tell us something about where you live and how your life is. :)

howdy!
maybe we can have a rambler contest and let the forum vote--winner gets one of bill gates bank accounts---a smaller one hed never miss whatcha think?
im pretty good at rambling myself. id rather think of it as providing a form of mental exercise--people got to practice to keep up with us ya know?

nice to see you again

Well, I wasn't really sure where to put it as a 're-introduction'. But I guess being away for so long, a little more info is called for.

I live in Western Washington....the crazy side of the mountains. Still have a big garden, but did get rid of my chickens last year. Not the best timing on my part, but couldn't keep the dogs away from them and was tired of the never ending rat population that has since magically disappeared. It's been nice not worrying about them. And have since built a solid relationship with the dogs, enough so I am considering getting chickens again, but will need to build a Fort Knox to keep them in first.

OK, maybe a little more back story..........I did have a senior (15yo) Jack Russell Terrier and a 12+yo Sheperd/Lab/Pit mix, when we then adopted 2 Pit mix pups (litter mates). Did have to put the 2 older dogs down, about a year apart.

Of course now that I'm trying to think of what else to say, the mind goes blank. I'm sure it'll come back to me eventually.

I once had a Rambler but traded it in on a Ford.
My condolences living on the wet side of washington...great place for a garden...pity about the state government.
I am currently without a small flock of chickens but will be starting up again this spring.. Our mouse population has finally decreased. The cats would bring in their own live action toys all the time.

yeah, the politics around here and I don't get along and every election cycle I keep hoping they'd wise up and every time I'm disappointed. In fact was shocked to see that even Cali had more red in it, than here.

Welcome back from Wester Oregon. Do you watch Heidi from Rain country on YT? She is in your area.
