Pretty cool. I have a feeling that it's a workout to pedal though! I would love to take my Yamaha V star and convert to electric. It wouldn't have the off road advantage, but would be an awesome toy.
Yeah, it's a cruiser (Harley looking) but it's a Yamaha, and is way more dependable than a Harley. It's also a lot more comfortable. I live in the mountains and it's a great place to have a bike. You just have to watch out for idiots pulling out in front of you. Other than that it's a great toy.Forgive ignorance but whats a V Star not seen one, is it a custom hog Harley clone type bike ?
I kind of like 1100cc's, it's a lot more fun .I think that would be just the thing for a grammy like me! It doesn't look very dangerous at the speed it does and can get me from point A to point B. . . that's all I ask
Neat, but top speed of only 20 miles per hour, and a range of only 18 miles on a charge, severely limit the application here. Still, the ability to charge off the sun though. Just takes half the day to charge is all....
It would be really useful post SHTF, but unfortunately, really ONLY post SHTF going that slow.
I know, because our ranchhand gal has a similar bike that is plug charged, but she simply never finds a use for it because she'd be run over on it, the second she went out on our country road (where folks go about 50mph).
Yeah but you have CAMELs you can trainThey wouldn't be much use on my land, too steep with trees and large rocks every couple of feet. But good idea for some areas I think.
