I still say come down harshly on anyone randomly committing violence or vandalism. There is such a fine line between civilized society and lawlessness. If you get rid of the ones pushing those boundaries then our way of life stands a much better chance of surviving.

That's the problem, cities such as new york, chicago, boston, D.C, L.A, san francisco, portland, seattle to name a few are all ran by the left where the cities harbor and protect the lawlessness by catch and release and calling the destruction free speech.

When a single gunman kills, the left is all about diminishing the 2nd Amendment for all, when a group of protesters destroys it is protected speech under the 1st Amendment thus the protest allowed to continue without consequences. There is a reason why these protesters don't come out here in rural areas and small conservative towns aside from lack of media attention ;)

I have zero sympathy for the cities that excuse their actions and protect the protesters.

Quick solution. Anyone arrested for vandalism or violence during a protest turned riot....IMMEDIATELY loses any Federal or State aid they are receiving (if they are). To get it back, they must go through a program educating them on proper protest, and prove to a judge they will change their ways. On any second offense of this, that aid should be revoked permanently.

Once the word is out about the penalty...you'll see attendance at such nonsense plummet dramatically......

This is not to assume that ALL protestors are on state benefits...but they sure weren't busy at work either. So.....
