...and they are perfect for tornado shelters. Tornado Alley runs right through OK. These shelters appear to be an excellent investment. Hopefully, they will become commonplace.

I'm not sure. Maybe by cell phone. Maybe a green light controlled by 911 center will activate? Maybe an "all clear" signal on a civil defense air raid siren?

My concern is more about how to handle what happens when some of those kids have to go pee, poop, or vomit?

My personal experience with being in our tornado safe room is to send my wife out to check and see if its all clear before I venture out (I have a camp potty stool in our shelter).
