That has to be one of the stupidest remarks ever made by any person.

ANYTHING can be used as a weapon.

Don't even think about banning trees so I can't get my big pointy sticks anymore.

Meh he’s not really sacred. He’s a sinner like all the rest of us. Many people truly don’t understand the roll of the pope in the catholic faith and give him far too much authority. More than the church actually gives him. And don’t get me started on how many idiots in the church are considering dumping all their weapons because “ the pope said so”. I respect him on some of his stances but others like any other person I simply don’t agree. Really the only authority the pope has is the final say in dogma. So unless it’s an official decree from the church and signed by the pope it isn’t anything but a foulable man making a statement. However many have no idea (including most Catholics) and think that somehow everything he says is some how the belief of the church and that is just plain ignorance. I hate ignorance. Especially from the religious. It can be some of the most dangerous kind.
