I like that idea, but I am sure if he wanted he could get a hand crank pump for the drums to accomplish the same thing. JUST BE CAREFUL OF STATIC!

the fan may be silent but the hole for the air still remains and the noise from the gen not the fan escapes, you just need one in a box like one from an rv or boat or whatever

Dynamat works really well at cutting the noise.
I do a lot of traveling and RV generators can be very quiet. Onan makes some ultra quiet generators for motor-homes. I'm not sure of the price but I think I would like one that runs on diesel. I'm not 100% sure on this but don't diesel engines run on other things besides diesel? In a disaster situation gas might not be readily available and I would want something more versitile.
And booter360 they do make very nice setups and do cut noise. NorthStar or PowerHorse make good gens, i own a few myself, they work great and very well. And something to keep in mind , Electric, Electri - Recoil , Recoil - diffrent start types. If you didnt already know.

Nah, I tried sales one time when I first got out of the Army but it didn't work too well. Apparently you can't knock a customer in the mouth when they talk **** to you...Who knew right?
It IS pretty neat. I got one for insurance, just in case my main generator screws the pooch. That way I can still power some necassary items until I get it back online.
