Hot.. long burn...red coals...lots a heat.

I like Ash.

There is a ton of dead ash around here and it leaves almost nothing behind. I only have to empty the stove of ashes about every 3 weeks.

Pictures of Seattle from the Space Needle...
I was there when they built it, been up in it a few times.
It's hard to tell that the Seattle fault runs right by it and the Cascadia Subduction Zone is only about 60 miles West.
I am glad to be from Seattle - FAR from it!

That reminds me of the time I went to dinner in the "needle" in San Antonio TX. I was very pregnant at the time and decided after dinner I did not want to get in the elevator to go back down. It took a while but I was convinced the stairs were not a good idea.

I went and checked on the cow pond this afternoon. They aren't drinking water here! I think this is the first time I've see it frozen solid.

First time I've ever seen my pond totally frozen over.
Seen it with some ice on it before, not all the way across... but this is solid.

Glad I don't have the horses now.

It might be frozen solid, but it is ponds like that where people and animals fall through the ice and need to be rescued.
