This side of my family does porch sittin' right. They're from the plantations of Kentucky, originally.
This one has 3 ceiling fans, misters, fire pit, the best stocked beverage refrigerator I've ever seen and all the other good stuff. We burned lavender incense in the fire pit, just put a whole stick in there.

Yesterday in Norton, Kansas, a bobcat and her cub were found frozen to an electric pole. Linemen Eric Hartwell and Dominic Urban came to their rescue. After being freed, the bobcats scampered off, appearing to be unharmed.

So this one was confusing to me. At first glance I thought one of the Ganoderma species (yes a mushroom) and it is indeed a polypore with white pores underneath. But, it wasn't shiny, which *could* potentially check out if it's been dried out and what really stumped me is it was growing from the ground and Ganoderma typically grows on wood. So unless there was wood underneath that soil, I dunno

I ran the picture through Google Lens....Ganoderma!! We are NOT all in possession of a crime scene photo!! Whew!!
