No personal experience with road kill salvage.. Usually an animal is too damaged to be useful.. Like said, for wild game field clean, debone, pressure can, freezer, or smoker pretty much asap..

Interesting... I have never used bear fat as bear was good.. The fat was always to strong and harsh to me.. But then I had a lifetime supply of lard from pork fat given to me by my neighbor the butcher.. We used that for cooking.. I used it for live trap and trap line baits, chicken feed, bird feeders, you name it..
