i know its kinda a small thing but think aobut running our of Q tips. i grew up using old bobby pins wrapped in a corner of tp. then i grew up and started buying Q tip, lol

but i found this set and tried it--workls very well.
might come in handy--can wash and re use worth having a few sets-- $5.99 for a srt of 9.

oh dear. You know they say that using q tips pushes the wax further into the ear, compacts it. No help whatsoever.
So, when my doctor looks in my ears I always ask, how's it lookin'? She always says it looks fine. I say no compacted ear wax, or a build up or anything? She always says no, everything is good.
Apparently, that story is only true on some people! Cuz guess what? I'm evil and I use q tips, not the brand name q tips, but off brand. Drives me nuts to have the insides of my ears wet after showering. You too, @jazzy ?
 
totally agree!
some years back i had a ear blockage of wax, was told to not use Q tips. suggested some ear wash tips, etc. none made me happy ya know? so ive tried differetn alternatives, these little guys seem helpful.

using Q yips dont make you evil--just makes you Qute.

somewhere awhile back someone mentioned these...might have been you jazzy...i ordered a set....not used them yet...but going to order another or three....not having a q-tip of any type would suck really.

pay attention, the is no Q anon, there is Q and there are anons (acording to some net expert) but wait everybody is guessing who or what Q is so maybe. Anyway Qtips are very handy, amd imperical data shows that Doctors don't really know much except how to kill people (the internet said Doctors cause more deaths than anything else, and that was before the clot shot)

We never used Q tips growing up. If we wanted one, we made it. Bite the very tip off a toothpick then roll it in a small piece of the cotton that comes in the top of a pill bottle (or now adays, a cotton ball) and voila, a Qtip.

yes and i agree. i prefer them. but having a couple packs of the washable-reusable ones cna come in pretty handy when one runs out of the throw aways. nice to have variety and options

Interesting.. I never thought to check if there was a reusable option for Q tips..
I usually deep clean my ears ...very carefully... with my old worn smooth Dodge ignition key..

just curious--and i got no poblem with dodge ignition key ear cleanres but--- when you do it do your eyes light up and yer mouth go Vrooom Vroom?
if so--you might have a fortune on yer hands teaching that skill

No problem with that.. Occasionally I will start coughing when doing ear cleaning..
Years ago I got a custom set of molded ear plugs at a gun show made by a woman who worked in a audiology clinic.. Making these sets of ear plugs was her side hobby at the shows.. She said many times men would start coughing as they cleaned there ears.. Her saying women never had this problem.. Don't know why..

I'm a woman and I always cough from the slightest pressure if I clean my ears with a Q-Tip or the twisted corner of a warm wet cloth. But using an artists tiny flat, rounded wooden painting spatula or a very small plastic round ended cuticle pusher never makes me cough. So I've come to the conclusion the coughing (or not coughing) for me is associated with the type and size of the tools used for ear cleaning.
