OK I don't know if this is even able to be done so if it is crazy please feel free to tell me. A guy I know has a rifle that came out of Egypt it a automatic in 8mm dang good rifle but the guy is thinking about selling it because 8mm is hard to find around here. I have been wondering could it be coveted to another round the reason I ask is because my grandpa had a 98k in 8mm that he set up in 30-06 but it was a bolt gun. So do you think a automatic 8mm could be set up in something like 30-06 or 308

Yes it can, but it's going to cost you dearly to do that kind of gunsmithing. Cheaper to buy another gun in the caliber you want.

Well I seen a few American companies make it I was thinking all of was surpluses from over seas I was thinking when the boy told me you could get 25 round mags and a bypod could be set up in a over watching to be a car stopper and picking off stuff that was out of range of the more common AR and ak rifles I know this one is from the late 50 or early 60 so maybe not in the line of a m14 or FAL but I can't help but think it was made to be a work horse so what would you guys think could the old ones still do the job
