My day simply did not exist. I'm headed to the store at 6:00 tonight.
I know about DARVO, that's not you, Zannej. Sometimes gaslighters/liars tell the other person that's what they are.My brother has suddenly decided that he thinks I gaslight him. He's the one who tells me that things I experienced didn't happen, that things I said were not what I said, and lies about things he's done or hasn't done. Claims he cleaned stuff when he didn't or claims that he didn't leave the wet wipes container open. Last night I can't even remember what we were talking about but he called me a liar and claimed that I'm always gaslighting him. He pulls what psychologists call DARVO. I just laughed at him. I don't know if he really believes what he's saying or if he's lying to not admit things. He always has had a penchant for lying profusely. It was much worse when he was younger. That is only a mild gripe though.
Princess was extremely agitated last night. No idea what was wrong. She climbed on me shivering so I put covers over her but she moved off to the side and then kept moving around every couple of minutes. Every time I put covers on her to warm her up she'd move. So I stopped and tried to get some sleep. I sleep on my right side. She was resting up against my back shivering for a couple minutes, then got up and stomped on my head/face to get over to a dog bed next to me, couple minutes later she climbed parallel to me and was resting against my front for a couple of minutes, then she climbed over my legs and around to the same spot at my back again. Each time she only stayed for a couple of minutes before moving again. Back stomping on my head-- and repeated over 10 times at least. I finally got up and she ran to Mom's bedroom door. I let her in and Mom wasn't in there. She jumped on the bed and then wanted back out and made a b-line for the living room. I let her in to the living room where Mom was using her computer. Princess wanted on her lap. So she held her for a couple of minutes before Princess wanted back down. We have multiple dog beds and she kept moving from one to another and then followed me out of the room. She did the same routine of moving around on my bed several more times and finally settled down for about an hour. Then she woke up and stomped on me again so I got up and she ran to Mom's door. I opened it and Mom was sleeping. She had to go stand on her hind legs and look at her and didn't want to leave the room at first. She kept standing there looking at me with one paw curled up before she finally followed me out. I went back to bed and she did her routine a few more times before finally settling down again.
I still have no idea what the problem was. She seems fine now.

I meant my brother pulls DARVO. LOL. He isn't familiar with the term. And he totally missed it when I said "Darvo" when he was telling me that I'm "always gaslighting" him. He apparently went and announced to Mom that I've been gaslighting him. LOL. She said he ranted at her for awhile and she rolled her eyes until he finished ranting and walked out. Then she said "idiot". So at least she knows he's full-of-it. He really has skewed memories of things and seems to think people were always against him even though he was spoiled rotten and almost always got his way. At least he's a halfway decent cook. He thinks he's an amazing cook though. LOL. He accused me of gaslighting him when I said that Mom was a better cook when she actually cooked. He's got a very thin skin. He's never been able to handle even constructive criticism without getting butthurt. As much as I gripe, he's not a terrible person though. Most of the time he can be very sweet but he has main character syndrome.I know about DARVO, that's not you, Zannej. Sometimes gaslighters/liars tell the other person that's what they are.
It's not you, it's him.
