It's expensive and alot of the time I think I could of done a better job cooking it. I can taste a premade microwaved meal a mile away.
Olive Garden is one of those places that were a treat once upon a time. Now it's expensive, and they don't cook their sauces and stuff inhouse, it comes in plastic bags they heat up and pour. I can open up a can of Ragu if I want that and it won't cost $20

I love Asian food, so we will have to pay extra for ingredients, but many are Korean not Chinese, so will they have tarrifs also? Not a fan of Mexican food, but I do like Avocados

Honestly, I don't see why there needs to be tariffs on stuff that isn't produced in the US. Food is one minor thing, but wait until it costs even more to fix your vehicle because the parts are all made in Mexico . And why are they made in Mexico? Because unions and the EPA made things too expensive to produce in the US. Well guess what, the unions and the EPA are still here.
Either way you turn it , everything is going to get WAY more expensive. Think about what the US produces, grain, cows, and weapons. We won't starve, but there will be a lot less variety of food. Plus farmers that used to sell grain will now have to pay tarriffs to sell their stuff to China. This is not a good thing if you ask me. I just don't see a benefit to it

So far I don't see a downside of these tariffs. I'd be fine if we never see a Chinese made product again, and wouldn't care if all the Mexican restaurants shut down. We seldom go out to eat anyway, it's too expensive.
The downside is that everything will cost the extra 20 % for the tariffs
I don't have an extra 20% to spend on everything

Trump promised to do something about price increases and inflation but with this he is going to make it worse

I doubt very much that we'll see any price increase in anything due to the tariffs. These are targeted tariffs affecting certain things, not across the board.
I can't think of anything that we need to get from China anyway.

bamboo shoots LOL
( I use them a lot and they only come from China, but I think I can still afford a can if it goes up by .50cents...)

The big thing is going to be vehicle related, oil , vehicle parts , equipement
Food is really a minor thing to us, we can grow a lot and have a lot of rice stored

oh and everything plastic is made in China, I don't think there is a plastic factory left in the US

Before we get too worked up about tariffs, we need to see what the tariffs are actually on. Besides, many companies have already started to relocate back to the US, or have plans on moving back. I think that's all good for our citizens and our country. I'd rather see our people working than some Chinese slave.
There are tons of companies in the US producing cheap plastic crap just like China. Everything I buy I always look to see where it's made. The only country that I have a problem buying from is China. China is our enemy.
