Recent surgery

Last Wednesday I had bunion and hammer toe surgery. So far so good but I am grounded. Not much pain yet, maybe it will stay that way. I have a goofy knee chair that I use to get around

Hope all goes well on the healing. I had a foot surgery a few years ago. 6 weeks off. Best vacation ever.

I'll say "Get Well Soon" although that sounds like a Halmark Card. Do what the doctor's advise & hopefully you will be back on your feet soon.

Prayers for a speedy recovery! Is the knee chair one of those ones that look like a little bike or scooter? I know an old guy who had to use one after ankle surgery. He ran over his wife's foot and his phone with it! Be careful !

Best wishes with your recovery.. I need knee surgery but get around enough to use a Walmart electric cart to shop with.. That has been dangerous enough at times, I would be in real trouble or more hurt, real quick trying to use a knee scooter..

Talk about getting kicked in the hiney. I have the knee chair that I ride by resting my left knee on. I have gout in that knee l. It's painful now to use the knee chair. Hope the gout gets over fast

Do you have crutches?? Hope everything gets better fast for you!!

I have crutches, wheelchairs, walkets and this knee chair. Gout is usually gone in a few days

I guess if there is any good out of your situation, it would be that the gout hit while you were already down!! Would have sucked more if you were over your surgery THEN got gout!!

We should look at the bright side... today they will do surgery to fix hammer-toes.
FIL had it so bad, his big toe went at a 90° angle under his other toes, crippling him.
He had to cut a hole in the side of all of his shoes for the giant bunion to stick out
They did simple surgery and prestoe! (pun), he had 10 toes again, and wasn't cripple.
In this country, in this day and age, it is a wonderful thing.

I use cherries to treat my gout, dried, fresh in season, cherry juice, cherry pie, etc.

I had that surgery six years ago and I’m past due to have it again. I hope you had screws put in. My VA doc put in pins and my new, civilian doctor, will be putting in screws this time.
