Sandwiches around our area when my mom was a young lady...late 40's and early 50's always seemed to be ground stuff in the meat grinder with stuff added to it. Almost like a meat paste. She loved that stuff.
Growing up...olive loaf. I had to learn to love it.

there are sandwiches I Iiked as a kid that some of you probably wouldn't eat, like liverwurst and mustard, or a pickle sandwich with mustard, or real blackforest ham ( it's basically raw and smoked a little, there is nothing like it hear) with butter
all on dense heavy rye

Mock chicken sammich - no. (But I did like egg salad sammich for a while, can't eat it now).
Sloppy Joe - can't eat that either.
Peanut Butter & mayo -
Marmite & cheese - no clue
Chicken liver sammich - if I have to
Monte cristo...
i just can't even.
Egg and sardine...just sardines please.
Something I like, and used to eat frequently in the 70s and 80s...alfalfa sprouts, romaine lettuce, nice ripe tomato, havarti or muenster cheese, and either hummus or avocado on a nice thick whole grain bread with Spike seasoning.

Peanut butter and onion

Occasionally liverwurst
Fried bologna with grape jelly and a small bit of yellow mustard

I had a neighbor who he, all his kids, there spouses, and young adult grand kids were goose hunters.. They made a Canadian goose roasted, ground breast meat sandwich spread that was WONDERFUL...

It sounds like we have a similar palate. I used to gag watching dear old dad smear mayo on his peanut butter and banana sandwiches. I had no idea that used to be a thing! My oddball would be grilled cheese with peanut butter and thin slices of jalapeno. another nutty one is a potted meat and egg sandwich, but my all-time favorite is baloney and salami on French toast, cut twice and dipped in tomato soup. My mother loved mashed potato and ketchup sandwiches with a slice of onion and pickles. and finally, one I myself unveiled here I call the egg Mc-F***it, two frozen waffles dipped in egg like one would french toast, a slice of cheese, and a spiced-up beef Pattie or sausage.

I don't really eat a ton of sandwiches , but my favorite would be Cuban ( cuban bread , or french bread, butter, ham, swiss cheese, mustard pickles all baked in the oven ), or peanut butter and banana

I make all kinds of pepper jam. Jalepeno is good but strawberry habanero is my favorite! Letting the peppers get red first is my favorite, I like the heat and the jam is a better color.
