I have a few glass bottles, some don't have any tops so I'm on the search for corks for them. I do have one or two of those with the stopper & clamp. I haven't used them yet, but the plan is to fill them with berry syrups to use for pancakes, etc. In order to store them for longer time, I also have some wax to seal the lids with.

I agree with saving bottles and containers of any kind along with buckets. Save them full of something.

you just cant have enough buckets..period. only thing with me is i cant leave them sit outside. the bears have a fascination with my buckets and love to pop holes in them trying to bite them. you know you got a big bear when he can bite a bucket sideways and punch canine holes in it and not crush the sides !!

Home depot has corks in the wood section.

Big toys! I give my dog large supplement bottles to play with. They are a similar texture. She loves the flexibility and the noise they make. When she causes too much damage to them I toss them out but most of the time she has a couple to put into her play rotation. I'd guess this is what is going on with your bear.

I get free 3.5 gallon buckets from the grocery store bakeries. I use these to store food, water, brass, to work in the garden, and tons of other stuff. I like them for sand and gravel or other heavy stuff. I won't fill a 5 gallon bucket half way so this limits how much I'm lifting at one time. Sometimes they give me one or two gallon buckets too. A few times I lucked out and found 4 gallon square buckets.

We save a lot of bottles, mostly for water storage. Milk bottles, soda bottles, juice bottles. I save vitamin, and prescription bottles. I use the prescription bottles for fire kits. They work great for small items you may be putting in kits or bags. Vitamin bottles are good for small items that may be light sensitive. I have even stored handgun ammo in the opaque bottles (like aspirin). It looks pretty innocent. Just a little opsec.

1 gallon milk jugs and 2 liter soda bottles washed out and filled with water......or cut off the bottom and use as hot caps for seedlings in the garden.
