#41 is someone who walks around Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota, collecting the souls of people who have died via suicide. Reservations do have lots of suicide, especially by teenagers, because life is so abysmal there. I did go to church and h.s. with a woman who lives on Pine Ridge. Her mother was part Indian. She is widowed, but she and her husband raised race horses. She still does. She has a master's degree and is a retired teacher, so her life is not so terrible, just difficult to work with her horses, especially in the winter months. Her daughter and family live close, but her son has struggled.
