Only Willie is left of the Highwaymen. Post your favorite KK song or movie clip here.

Composed by Kris Kristofferson, the 1970 country-rock ballad “For The Good Times” is an emotive plea for companionship and solace.

The melancholic yet uplifting melody is a reflection of Kristofferson’s own life at the time, lamenting lost love and offering hope for a brighter future.

The song’s rich lyrical content, combined with its memorable chorus, make it a timeless classic that has endured for generations.

Its gentle and soothing nature has made it a favorite of many country music fans.

RIP...

Willie SUCKS, I have never liked him... stupid preserved druggy!

Never a big fan either, preferred Waylon or Asleep at the Wheel for the Texas sound.

The thing about KK. I always thought some of his songs would have sounded better sung by John Prine. Of course I'm a big Prine fan. But a few of KK's songs were a better fit for JP's style.

I liked the highwaymen music kk did.

I rode up the elevator to the Space Needle in Seattle with Kris. We did not talk, when he could see in my face that I recognized him, he just smiled. We were the only ones in the elevator, he held the door open, I said thank you.

A very long time ago "We Alaskans" would fly to Seattle twice a year to shop. All Alaskans stayed only at the Roosevelt Hotel.

I'll take "The Silver Bears"
