I saw that a flight attendant/masseuse for Elon Musk claimed sexual harassment.
Maybe I'm not "normal" and maybe it is just me but, does it seem like women simply prove the point that they are emotionally weak when they do stuff like that?
I worked in male dominated fields for most of my life. When I was young, I worked at a restaurant where the Hispanic workers, “sexually harassed” me daily. Even got cornered in the walk in freezer once, pushed against a wall and forcibly kissed. He came out coughing and holding his crotch. Oh well; good excuse for more martial arts training.
Then I coached ice hockey and between the male coaches, and even my students…yeah. I had one 12 year old tell me “I’ll give you a nickel if you tickle my pickle” and caught a group of players from my team and another, talking about how I was a MILF.
Their coach and I colluded on that one. That was a garbage can practice! LOL. (a garbage can practice is where you put out a garbage can on the ice and you skate the players until one or more of them is so exhausted they puke). It never happened again even with subsequent teams.
Then I worked cattle and training cow horses…cowboys…sheesh!
Never complained and never sued anyone; instead I turned it around on them.
I gave as good as I got and I became one of them, I actually got a couple of apologies out of it and my reputation as a real hockey coach and cowgirl solidified. They actually came to respect me because I could hold my own, could laugh at and tell dirty jokes and wasn’t a whiney type that got butt hurt over every little thing. Some of them actually became good friends I still have to this day.
If it doesn’t kill you, it makes you stronger!
None of them were actually dangerous and that is my line. What are your takes/experiences? How did you deal with it? What was the outcome?
