Our small time local merchants are having customer appreciation this Saturday and should be alot of fun. Raffles, free hamburgers and hotdogs, discounts, lots of tables set up for visiting. So we'll be going to the feed store, the thrift store, the Christian bookstore, and the Amish grocery store. (that's all we have in our town).
That sounds like one great community. We got a local flier. . . a new gas station is opening up. They are advertising a new beer cave. . .

suits me Brent.
Some people like the excitement of a large city and all the different things they can offer. I am content with some peace and quiet in life. I like going occasionally to a zoo or museum and such in Atlanta but would never consider living any closer than the 90 miles I am at now.

I am hundreds and hundreds of miles from a big city, have been told by a townie that where I live is "the middle of nowhere", which suits me fine, I've had my time living in a small city and would never go back there, I prefer it here.
