So I been thinking. What are our skills? When TSHTF.what will we all do ? Example...I'm taking up woodworking. Looking into bein a carpenter. I thhink if all of us together as a whole combined our skills. Well then perhaps mankind wont be entirely doomed. So lets compare. What are your skills?

Growing food, animal husbandry, butchery, sewing, spinning, weaving, knitting, candlemaking, soapmaking, blacksmithing, woodworking, animal training to name a few that are done around here.

I've been working on a lot of skills like knitting, sewing, canning, dehydrating, setting up temp heating sources and lighting, etc and my husband is a carpenter and commercial fisherman by trade.

Currently learning carpentry....but will look into other venues. I'm still new so hat gives me an edge to open advice. Keep iit coming.

Since we decided not to bug out, I've decided to increase my skill set to that of learning how to make small "jack in the boxes" out of tuna fish cans and how to secure my house. We have the woods behind our house so my husband can make tree stands as lookouts (I have an unbelievable fear of heights). If someone(s) can get into this house after all I learn, and we implement, then it's our time and whoever gets through us can have it. Our attic is liveable if we have a solar power source (which we can actually develop a homemade source - it won't be anything tremendous but it will work). The only downfall is that once we hit the highest ground then we have no place left to go. I think breaking a leg would be a problem. LOL

Herbalism, medical skills, trauma wound patching, personal hygiene skills, fighting skills, foraging, water purification, radio communications, alternative energy management, fire arms maintenance, reloading ammo, alternative weapon construction (bows, knives, spears, snares), fishing. These came to mind in addition to all the other wonderful skills covered by everyone else.

From what I've read, you need a decent amount of "flour" and match to make it work. I've been researching it.

I wouldn't advocate saying you are making explosive devices, or even thinking about it (conspiracy). I think what you meant to say was you were making.....party gag or pranks that go puff when you step on it, like a whoopie cushion for your front lawn... yeah... thats it.

You are sure right Kenny. Big Bro. is getting in on everything we say or do. This is suposed to be a free country. Yea, free my ass. That's why I hate to say to much on this site (or any other). So, I will not say I have a tank in the back yard , claymores, Laws rockets, granade launchers, mortors, hand grenades or even The Apachie. Let the bitches come. They will be here soon enough. Yeah, the feds are pretty stupid. There was a MMA fighter before last election who said on camera "Someone should beat some sense into the President" and the secret service showed up! Mean why some Obama support at the DNC said she would shoot Romney for the good of the country and I bet no one showed up (well she was pretty damn old, ancient really).

Shame we can't as a nation say what we want, even though we have the right to. Is it even really a right when we need to self censor ourselves?

It's been soooooo long since I've actually talked on a forum that I didn't even think about that. Thank you for making me aware and sure enough, the most important things have been corrected.
