Happened in Zimbabwe years ago now SA follows the path. Worried for my family there. The gov takes their guns (unsuccessfully in the case of more than a few) and now their land. Sad situation.

When equality is still not enough (the end of Apartheid), you begin to see racism in it's true form: lazy people coveting what others have worked hard for.
Over here it's called "wealth disparity". Marxism has proven every time to be the best way to remove the work ethic ending in the eventual ruination of a country.
Mandela knew this, but he's dead.
Wait until they run onto the seized farms and find nothing but empty buildings and fallow land, not 'wealth'. They do not run themselves.
What a prize.

It is very sad. I hope your family will be safe. Maybe they can flee the country while fleeing is still possible.

That's what happened in Zimbabwe. They had less than 70 registered tobacco farmers in the country bringing in over 70% of all foreign income for the country. They turned over their farms to uneducated people that didn't know how to grow tobacco or run a business in exchange for political power (mainly giving the farms to friends/family and influential tribal folks that knew the right people). Shortly thereafter there wasn't food to buy even if you had money. Idiots. You think people would learn.
