Back in November I was told I needed to schedule my 3rd nasal polyp surgery. I told my allergist and he saI'd not to schedule.
He said there was a drug that has had good results so he called and after lots back and forth, I was able to get the drug for free. It's about $3000 per month.
My insurance called and I have reached my limit on specialty drugs for the year. So I thought dang I'll have to go 6 months without it.
My doctor is going to give it to me free until January of next year. I argued that it was too much, but he said they had worked out with the rep for me to get free samples for 6 months.
Most doctors would not have gone to the trouble he has and not get money from me. (I give myself injections so no office visit fees).
I'm happy because this stuff has been great. I can also taste and smell a little after having zero for the last 15 years. It's not a lot, but I'll take it.
If SHTF, I understand how many will be left without medications.
See how I worked prepping into my long, boring story?
