Has anyone heard of the "Storm Area 51, they can't stop all of us" facebook event? It was originally intended as a joke, but I wonder if any of the 2 million people who RSVPd really intend to do it? And whether they'll actually find any aliens. . .

Trust me, few folks have any real conception what the desert is really like. I am with Jontte, any of these stupid folks venture out into the desert are just a free meal to the actually inhabitants.

My Guess? Most that would do it are too poor/stupid to own a car & afford the gas to get there... so they need more time to arrange rides or hitchhike to get there! An army of losers... I think Kate is 100% on target.
You've clearly never organized a mob raid on a military base over facebook. These things take months to plan.
Have you been in the desert during the summer? Even September is going to be miserable to most folks.
