In NY within 40 miles of the PA border, cheap land wooded but not very fertile. Lots of old homestead sites could be found. Could understand why the farmer gave area up.
In the Adirondack’s, lots of pockets that are not part of the park. Slightly more expensive to purchase. Cheaper way, Timber company land leases for a cabin. Just have to put up with needing permission to cut a tree over 4 inches in diameter.

In IL, very fertile land but your only cover is corn fields, the only trees are in the 160a hedgerows. Truly learned what the term blacktop meant there. Can be very very rural.

My current pocket- 9.71M of my closest enemies within a half circle of the 50 mile radius. 35 people in 12 houses across 360a up here
But they got to know I am here. Who knows-Bicyclists doing the highest hill climb in they county, Hikers in the park next door, friends and relatives of people up here. Got to brave a pretty scary road.
I might not have woods for cover-but I have rock outcroppings, 2-300 yr old oaks, and terrain. I live in a BIL.
 
As we know, steep inclines are going to keep most people from heading that direction. They will go the easier paths. Especially when they are already tired and hungry…which they will be. Your odds are pretty good on that score EW!


Doc, the writer also makes that point, very strongly in fact and in detail on how to try to work around it.

Only a fool would think they wouldn't shoot us to move out of theirs and into mine. Not only do I have no problem shooting anyone deemed a threat, I have no problem acting proactively when we are WROL. I am pretty sure I will be taken out by one of these a holes eventually, but I am going down fighting.

From what I see now with just dealing with inflation . Many of the people in overpriced " nice " homes and half dozen vehicles and expensive toys seem to be the ones to watch during hard times . I personally know several that have ran scams , sued people over trivial nothing , committed crimes from shop lifting to insurance fraud . I also know a lot of people that are living in homes built in the previous 2 centuries or other run down structures that mind their own business and know how to get by during hard times . Bottom line . I don't care what somebody owns or don't own . A criminal minded person is going to crime .
There's a lot to be said about Wal Street fell but We couldn't tell .

Didn't know it was a song
The old Alabama song , they never were my kind if music . My Wife likes them . The Singer was on FOX NEWS a few months ago .
I don't think he votes Democrat .

Yes, some people overspend. They steal, they sht on people they look down on, etc. BUT, when bills no longer matter, they won't be leaving their 4000sf homes to move into a 50 year old, poorly insulated, 800sf single wide. Guaranteed.

As to can see, Hollerman has precise thoughts on every circumstance and group. His advice on when to fight and when to run…as well as HOW to run is eye opening.

He says his ideal size is 5-6 family groups. That is larger than my group…which I feel is pretty large. If the circumstances are right, we would have a 6 family group size though. Thoughts folks?

Part of his advice is to 1) have a plan on how to escape if you have to. 2) have a gathering place in advance. 3) have bug out vehicles capable of traveling off road.

GeorgiaPeachie , it appears we were both watching " Canadian Prepper " at the same time . It is sad that many that claim to be prepared are so frightened at their preparation standing that they can't even bring themselves to tap this information source . We have all seen anger come from some , when this information source is presented . Fear = anger . I watch " Canadian Prepper " regularly but seldom present information from him as I know what reaction to expect .
 
I watch him off and on. I don't have any fear/anger about him, but I also don't take EVERYTHING he says as gospel. I did watch this video early this morning, and also watched another one of his yesterday with the guy he interviewed about cyber attacks.
 
About half of " Canadian Prepper "videos , I watch the entirety . The other half , I may watch the first half or so depending on the time that I have or whether that I am interested in the topic . He brings on guests that for the most part that are experts in an particular topic pertaining to prepping or survival . Also he has incoming information that simply is not available to the common person and not available to other video makers . I like to stay informed and ahead of the general person living on the planet .

Spent some time and inventoried my antibiotics, since clearly our government has sent out word to STOP allowing us to have animal antibiotics! Which they fully now realize can save us from whatever they are going to release next. I am thrilled with what I have put together! 😁

My Amoxicillin 500 mg count is kinda off the charts at just under 500! Whew. At least I can bargain with them, right?

Since daughter is allergic to Amoxicillin I have a few hundred Cephalexin/Keflex.

It cost me, but I have 90 Azithromycin.

My sulfa meds, SMZ-TMP drugs are at just under 200.

Doxycycline is 200 count exactly

Clindamycin is at 100 count

Metrodizanole is only 60 count

And not antibiotic, but fungal med Fluconazole at just 20 tablets. But you only take one and I have creams for this sort of thing.
