So looked this organization up. Looks good. I am ex army so the skills I have is starting to fade cause I am out. This is gonna help me stay prepared and ready. Anyone know about it?

I avoid any and ALL militias.
You might as well said why to avoid it cause that's the question I will ask. So why?

I have yet to se a militia that stayed legal and did not cause issues in and around there state. It also puts you VERY far up on a government "List" of people to hit first when the feds get around to doing that sort of thing.
This militia has been around for a good long time. This is Texas after all. They just do the training like army but for civilians. You train on your own time.
I don't associate with Militias either.
I'm a a member of Virginia 10M. Look hard and close for a group that you can trust. Know that feds are in and around militias at all times.
Really, if you are looking for the right reasons and you are committed to freedom, you are NOT going to do anything wrong. You have a right and a duty to be part of the state militia. You will find that 99%+ of them are preppers by nature. If you are standing in defense of American freedom and you are there for WHAT'S RIGHT, then you will be alarmed if someone is heading down the wrong path. I encourage it fully. Groups that are on the fringe and are extremist or racist, pr bigoted in nature are a perversion of the proper militia. They are not only useless, but misleading. They are hostile to TRUE American values. Real militias are there to defend the Country and our People from ANYONE who is attempting to step on our necks. Better believe that if the SHTF, you'll be glad you were part of it. If it doesn't hit the fan, I'll bet you'll have fun training and being part of a group of like-minded individuals. LIVE FREE
