For some reason I often start 'resolutions' for want of a word, in September or December. To my mind, January is no time to go on a diet, jog, or save, or any of those things that seem to make people feel worse.
I do believe in resets though and goals; so a few small things I've been doing is
1. unsubscribing to newsletters and offers that come to my inbox. When it comes to buying books I'm too easily tempted.
This leads to my savings resolution- we need to make a decision on whether to do some renovation work to the house, or sell. In the meantime, separate from usual savings,
2. I'm going to do an envelope challenge to help pay for it.
I have had more interest in my crafts, with a new shop offering to sell them.
3. I need to treat it like a job, and set aside some time in the evening to get things made. It will also encourage me to use up all the craft bits I've collected.
4. Each week make one recipe I've saved online - then either write it down to keep, or delete it. I have four notebooks for each child and I write their favourites into ti, so they have them when I'm gone.

Anyone else undertaking 'a not a resolution' list?

I am trying to drink more, does that count?

To be fair I am trying to drink more water. I will maintain my current level of alcohol consumption for the foreseeable future.
I'm in my winter beer drinking mode! Consumption drops of drastically! I'm going to maintain that this summer!! Pearl is slowing it down!👍😃

I do well when I set goals for myself. They have to be small attainable ones. And I don't call them "resolutions" because I set goals all throughout the year.

One ongoing goal is, like yours, to unsubscribe from junk email that somehow found its way into my mailbox. I worked on that today. It's not finished, but I did well.

Another ongoing goal is to not insert myself into places I'm not really wanted. I don't do that much in real life, but I might do it in certain subjects on forums. So I need to quit that.

That's all I've got right now. I would like to have one or two more goals set before January 1.

Every year, usually during winter, I make a list of construction projects and equipment needs for the following year. After 10 years here on our property my lists are finally getting smaller and less costly.
Yeah, I do that, and my list keeps getting longer. ;)
