one of the guys that I work with keeps them in the van just in case we aren’t working near a store, he will just throw it up on the dash of the van around 10 and it’s warm by lunchtime so a makeshift solar oven would work in a shtf situation, grid down it could be put into a metal ammo can painted black and placed in the sun for a few minutes.
