I'm going with the Sawyer Filter. IMHO it is more versatile than the Life Straw, but to be perfectly honest I have several of both.

Life straw is good for quick short term use
Sawyers are much better filters overall, last longer, more efficient, and filter a much higher quality water.
Good idea to have both
