Unlike this guy, who must have bought the cheaper pod experience with an "idyllic location" that appears to be the back room of an auto parts store.

Since they use poisonous gas instead of C0² in that thing, ain't you glad you aren't the guy that has to open it back up and fetch the body out? :eyeballs:
Edit: Oops, they used nitrogen. :)

I am glad, regardless of the gas used people piss and **** themselves when they die. They better make em easy to clean out, but I guess sanitation hardly matters to the end user lmfao

Naah. Folks are prepared in advance, stomach, bowels and bladders are completely emptied before they get into those pods.

..... now in canada it is a part of the medical programs---last year i read about a woman--former mil--was in a wheelchair permanently disabled and needed help fixing the ramp on her porch. the gov programs kept stalling and finally told her it would be better is she considered the euthanasia program.....
I won't debate the rest of what you think but what you said in the quote above is not likely. First, it's not a medical program, it's a unique medical service that the recipient MUST legally apply for and be legally approved for.

Secondly, no government medical service or any other kind of service provider or even a friend or family member in Canada can suggest to anybody that it is better for them to consider being euthanized. Not even as a joke.

It's illegal, a criminal act, to make such a suggestion (it's called criminal coercion) and anyone making such a coercive suggestion to ANYBODY can and will be charged, and sued / convicted to the fullest extent of the law.

I think somebody has been pulling your leg and taking advantage of your own suggestibility. You might want to check the credibility of the source that you got that information from because it is "dead" wrong. Pardon the pun. If the mil said to somebody else that some government program told her it would be better to get euthanized then that mil should report them to the police and file charges against them and sue the pants off them.

They have those in Switzerland. No painful needle-stick! :):

Get your ticket to the afterlife today!!!:woo hoo:
That is the saddest thing I ever heard of.

If I get to the point where I'm not able to get out of bed or if I hurt too much with no relief I want to go. Why should I make the doctors richer and pat each other on the back for keeping me alive? That's something I don't understand, keeping people alive when there is no hope, in pain so drugged all the time, no quality of life. Eating through a tube! No way buddy. I can't chew and taste my food I'll jack up a few doctors and nurses. I'm old and already made peace with my maker. When and where is just a matter of time, no ifs about it!

Wow, this is a hornet's nest thread! Obviously, one's spiritual beliefs color the opinions, so those opinions are likely set in stone, but in the end, people will do what they feel they must, including suck on a shotgun.

It's not a good argument, there will be no winners.
only butt hurt and strife.

Take me for example. No amount of any type of schizophrenia meds will 100% stop me from hearing death threats every day, and **** if sometimes I don't wish I could make it stop.

Pain meds aren't always an option, some types of pain are treatment resistant.
I agree.
The doctor's only treatment is to render them unconscious, which only prolongs their suffering for months, earning the hospital all of the patient's money.
I believe everybody should have access to 'the key to the exit door'.
The only reason this is denied to citizens is, it would severely reduce the money that hospitals make.

Can you describe that procedure?
Sure. Have you ever had to get a colonoscopy done? It's a similar preparation to that done in advance the night before getting the colonoscopy procedure or some other medical procedures done that require empty stomach, bowels and bladder. The patient eats no solid foods for the prior 24 hours, takes liquid nourishment only and some varying prescribed hours before the procedure would be done the patient stops drinking any fluids except to drink an osmotic PEG type preparation that causes the bowels to be emptied.

Diapers are an option too. ;)

So before I die I cannot even enjoy a meal- I gotta spend my last day getting my rear probed by a tube in the hospital so people don't have to clean up when I'm gone. Yuck.

Diapers sound like a better option tbh which is wild.

So dystopian...

Jazzy, thank you for going to the effort of finding those articles. I don't recall hearing about that woman being abused by that one individual like that but the articles you posted do back up what I said about it being a criminal offense for anyone in Canada to make the suggestion or recommend to any other person to seek MAiD.

I'm glad that the athlete's complaint to the Prime Minister caused there to be an immediate criminal investigation into that awful VA employee and the other 4 clients that the employee made the same suggestion to. As you can see from the articles, it's not something that is approved of or allowed in Canada and it was a criminal offense that the single employee committed.
Canada’s Veterans Minister Lawrence MacAulay said that as many as five instances of veterans being offered the euthanasia equipment by a veterans affairs official had been referred to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. He said all of the cases involved a single employee, who had since been suspended.

2019 my brother was ill, to the point there was no coming back. I was holding my brothers hand through it, he was squeezing it, he wasn't comatose...I was beside myself, just squalling because of his situation. I was sooo sad, in my mind he didn't deserve this. A nurse said they could administer a shot that would...end it, end the pain, etc. I said please do it. If I was facing a no win situation I would want to die with my dignity. I will forever remember the event with my brother.

i understand your point about the legal details but it seems that gvts seem to ignore or talk over laws they dont like or are inconvenient. i hope it would be illegal and peoiple likle her would be protected but in socialized medicine programs that fails the average person over and over so that they get dsperate enought to com to US for medical care--im not belitting the CAN healthcare, but what they say and promise dosnt seem to be what they provide in a tinely manner. like all govts. lots of american go to mexico for medical , dental al teatment that is like 50% cheaper than here.

i thinm its all a mess and the more we can learn to care for ourselves anbd potential problems the better off we willbe in the long run,

i understand from some i know that the VA is particularly weak in helping veterens get the medical care they need. once medicine turned into a trillion dollar business the game changed.
