You all are a bad influence on me. I had to have a bacon sandwich. It was good but no lettuce or tomato. I refuse to eat store-bought tomatoes and ours are nowhere close to ripe and we didn't have lettuce so I just added more bacon.
I'm with you. Store bought tomatoes are so tasteless.
I have 3 tomatoes that are just starting to blush on my plants! I've got bacon in the freezer and some lettuce in the fridge. I'm ready for a BLT lettuce wrap.

I like the wrap idea.
Have gotta try that.

All we ever do is toast with bacon, LT.

No store bought tomatoes here either.

Feast your eyes on this. They call it the "Heart Stopping BLT". The restaurant is not to far from me. I have heard they use a pound of bacon on each sandwich. After you eat one the next thing you hear is your veins slamming shut.

Not usually, but I am gonna do a late planting of some stuff this year. Cabbage and spinach for sure, maybe some lettuce as well. I really want to grow some brusell sprouts, but timing is so critical as hot as it stays here I've never had any luck. They need to finish late Oct to early Nov here.
I am gonna build more raised beds this winter and will have more room for stuff like that next year. Already thinking about how to do a little hoop house/cold frame over the 2 I have this year. That should get me near Thanksgiving at least for whatever I have in them.

I wanted a bacon sandwich and the waitress said they didn't have bacon sandwiches so I ordered a BLT. As she turned to walk away I said hold the lettuce, then waited till she turned again and said hold the tomato. She accused me of being a smart A-- but I got my bacon sandwich. :)
I can leave off the lettuce..but
I gotta have mater, only if it's homegrown.

If you wrap bacon in bacon then you have a bacon crusted bacon wrap. For some added flavor just lightly drizzle some bacon essential oil over the bacon wrapped bacon.

Don't forget the bacon grease dipping sauce and the chicken fried bacon.

My Grandparents had a bowl of bacon grease on the table for every meal. They would dip their biscuits in it. You never had to ask Grandma what she was cooking. The answer was usually fried Pork. Her cholesterol level must have been 1000 and she lived to be 94.
We keep a jar of essential oil by the stove too.
