I can't stand that watered-down horse urine.
Red wine or nothing. Ten bucks says nobody but my kid and maybe one more show, maybe
the HP IF he's not gaming. I might just pack a bowl and read the bible and make something up.

Totality — the period when the moon is completely engulfed in Earth's shadow — will last for approximately 65 minutes. Key viewing times across different time zones include:

  • Eastern Time (ET): 2:26 a.m. — 3:31 a.m. (March 14)
  • Central Time (CT): 1:26 a.m. — 2:31 a.m. (March 14)
  • Mountain Time (MT): 12:26 a.m. — 1:31 a.m. (March 14)
  • Pacific Time (PT): 11:26 p.m. (March 13) — 12:31 a.m. (March 14)
  • Alaska Time (AKDT): 10:26 p.m. — 11:31 p.m. (March 13)
  • Hawaii Time (HST): 8:26 p.m. — 9:31 p.m. (March 13)
For the full experience, it's worth heading outside about 75 minutes before and after these times to see the moon gradually enter and exit Earth's shadow.

Where are all the great pictures? :waiting:
The broadcasters were all completely wrong.:(
They said 1:30 to 2:30. Probably eastern time.
I had great hopes, clouds were thinning out at 10:30 and I could see a perfect moon between the gaps!😍
And then... the fog came in, er, I meant the Damfog came in!
I looked out at 12:30 and 1/4 was already gone!
I watched until it was 90% gone and did not take any crappy pictures.
I hope others in the mountain/desert areas will post some good pics.:)

The clouds cleared, so lucky us! Not only do we have the moon blood red, we also have a modest northern light show.

Stupendous !! I love it. Man oh man, that can't be beat! You really should submit that photo to some news outlets, TV stations and social media to let the rest of the world see the splendour of Alaska! That one ought to go viral. :clapping:

.

I'm hoping that @kd4ulw (ping) is too busy taking awesome pictures to chime in yet. :)
Edit: At 3:00 am CT it is now 30% back.
I had to get up for work at 5 am so I hadn’t planned on photography at all. I did have to take care of some business at 3:15 am, so I went out in the front yard in my underwear for about 10 seconds during totality. It was quite a sight… and the Moon was pretty, too.
