I made a canoe out of plastic barrels that I would like to share but not sure how to upload a picture on here and because I am new to this forum I don't think I Am allowed to put a link to my youtube channel but the name of my channel is ( Little beaver Creek Homestead william e ) pretty long I know but spelled just like that. Anyway I used 5 plastic barrels to make this canoe about 17 years ago. I used wooden ribs to put it together and now they are rotting so I came up with the idea to replace the ribs with flattened pvc pipe. I heat and flatten the pvc and then put it over the canoe and heat it again with a heat gun till it bends to the shape of the canoe and then screw it in place, one rib every three inches. I am working on an idea to make an attachment to my heat gun that will weld the plastic with a plastic welding rod to weld the seams. I have used this canoe a lot through the years and let me tell you it tougher than a $2 steak. You can drag it over gravel for years and years without wearing it out or poking a hole in it. I have a video that shows how I did it in more detail. I have searched youtube for years and have not but until recently found anyone making a boat out of plastic barrels and the Vietnamese are the only ones that are making decent looking boats. At lest mine is symmetrical and looks like a canoe, good enough for me anyway.

Here Is a link to my video

How about that, I figured it out, how to get the picture up that is.

I have never seen restrictions on people sharing their own videos, even from YouTube here.

That is a very ingenious design on that canoe. I'd bet if you made a material list and some instructions, many would be interested. This would be a great use of barrels that have had non-food contamination. For people who have the ability to do some traveling on water, a couple of these would be an interesting way to bug-out, or to go fishing.

We normally don't care if an established member posts an informative YouTube video here. We just don't like those "one posters" who will clog up the system with their internet business, which pays about a nickel a click to view the videos. I do not like those scammers.

That's pretty awesome. I'd be interested to see the video.

Hey, Thank you very much, I got a message here saying I shouldn't post any links till I've been here awhile, and I see their point, but if you check out my youtube channel just search ( Little beaver Creek Homestead william e ) and that should take you to my channel, I only have 13 videos. I'm still waiting to be discovered, lol

No I'm not a scammer or a spammer, Turkey spam is pretty good though, I will probably never get monetized on youtube so money isn't the thing. I just want to share with people, and I think there are a lot of good quality people on this forum and I only hope to be able to share ideas and make friends. I feel life is to short to add any kind of drama to it. Just forgive me I get in trouble sometimes because I'm told all the time I think outside the box, I don't think I know how to think inside the box, when most people go right I go left. Oh, I'm not a leftist, or a rightist for that matter but I do try to do right.

Making money off of You Tube isn't a problem. I actually think its cool that you can. The issue is when we have posters who don't contribute but just post business links trying to make money off of us and scams or just trying to stir up trouble.

Cool boat by the way and I don't even like the water.

Thank you Terri, I don't like trouble makers or drama either. I really like this forum, wish I wasn't so busy because I would like to spend more time here.
